Apparently it's because the default behavior of Android is to turn off the CPU (which turns off WiFi) soon after the screen has been turned off, even when plugged in to. On the CPU as long as it's downloading episodes. HELP PLEASE -Galaxy Tab stuck on 'Downloading. Do not turn off target!! My Tab is hang. The message is now 'downloading.do not turn off target' with the android cartoon. It has been like this for 15 minutes. How do i fix my mobile samsung galaxy tab p1000 when the screen says 'DOWNLOADING.DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!!'

I can't download anything that takes more than a few minutes and it's really annoying. I have the Wifi set to never sleep. I have the phone plugged in. Not sure what else I can do. This is trying to download a file from Chrome / Samsung Internet.

Edit: Thought maybe if I changed the display time out to 10min that would work. It did not. Came back a few minutes later and it was paused. When I resume it restarts the download entirely.
My Solution: Read about Advanced Download Manager and tried that and it worked. Kept the download going all the way through. Even speeding up the process. Prior to that Google Chrome was estimating 45 to download a 5gb file. With ADM it took 15minScreen Turns Off When Calling12 comments
